Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, detergent residue build-up, stagnant water in sump or drain hose, blocked pump filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before cleaning filters or internal hoses.
- Clean pump filter: Remove and clean the drain pump filter of lint and debris.
- Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cycle with a washing machine cleaner or white vinegar and baking soda to kill bacteria and dissolve residues.
- Clean door seal: Wipe the door gasket folds with a cloth and mild detergent, removing black slime or mould.
- Improve usage habits: Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between washes to allow drying. Use occasional hot washes.
