Possible Causes
Damaged or torn door gasket (seal), loose door seal retaining band, blocked or overflowing detergent drawer, cracked front tub
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug and turn off water supply. Mop up any spilled water to avoid slipping.
- Inspect door seal: Open the door and examine the grey rubber gasket for tears, holes, or mould build-up. Pay attention to the bottom area.
- Check retaining bands: Ensure the outer metal or wire band around the seal is tight and properly seated in its groove. Refit if loose.
- Clean seal and drawer: Remove detergent drawer and clean out residue that may cause water to overflow. Check the drawer housing for cracks.
- Replace seal if damaged: Remove the outer and inner retaining bands, pull off the old seal, and fit a new Indesit-compatible door gasket, aligning the drain holes at the bottom.
