Possible Causes
Loose or split drain hose, leaking tub-to-pump hose, leaking heater gasket, cracked plastic tub, leaking inlet valve or dispenser hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug and turn off water. Tip the machine slightly (with help) to inspect the base; avoid tilting excessively if water is inside.
- Inspect hoses: Remove rear panel and check the main sump hose from tub to pump, and the drain hose to the outlet. Look for splits, loose clamps, or perishing. Tighten or replace as needed.
- Check heater seal: Inspect around the wash heater where it enters the tub for signs of leakage. If leaking, remove and refit with a new gasket or replace the heater.
- Dispenser and inlet: Check the hose from the inlet valve to the detergent drawer and from the drawer to the tub for leaks during fill.
- Tub damage: If the plastic tub is cracked, replacement of the entire tub assembly is usually required.
