Possible Causes

Partially clogged drain pump, restricted drain hose, debris in tub-to-pump hose, failing drain pump impeller

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply. Prepare towels and a shallow pan.

  • Clean pump filter and housing: Access the drain pump as described for F02. Remove the clean-out cap and thoroughly clean the filter and pump cavity. Check the impeller for damage or looseness on the shaft.
  • Inspect hoses: Remove and inspect both the tub-to-pump hose and the pump-to-drain hose. Flush them with water to remove soap scum and lint buildup.
  • Check standpipe and home drain: A slow house drain can cause long drain times. Run water into the standpipe from a sink or hose to verify it drains quickly.
  • Replace pump if weak: If the pump runs but water flow is weak and all hoses are clear, the pump motor or impeller may be worn. Replace the drain pump assembly.
