Possible Causes
Faulty NTC sensor, failed heater relay on control board, wiring harness issue, defective heating element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and ensure water is cool before accessing heater components.
- Check NTC sensor: Follow steps from F23 to verify the sensor and wiring.
- Test heating element: Locate the heater at the bottom of the tub from the rear. Disconnect wires and measure resistance across the heater terminals. A typical value is 10–30Ω; infinite resistance indicates an open heater that must be replaced.
- Inspect for ground faults: Check resistance from each heater terminal to ground (tub or chassis). Any measurable resistance indicates a ground fault; replace the heater.
- Control board relay: If sensor and heater test good, the heater relay on the main control board may be faulty. Inspect the board for burnt solder joints near the relay. Board replacement is usually required.
