Possible Causes

Loose UI harness, failed user interface board, failed main control board, oxidized connectors

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the console.

  • Access console: Remove screws securing the control console, then carefully tilt it forward.
  • Reseat UI connectors: Unplug and firmly reconnect the ribbon cable or harness between the user interface (display board) and the main control board.
  • Inspect for corrosion: Look for green or white corrosion on connector pins. Clean lightly with contact cleaner if present.
  • Check for moisture: If the console area shows signs of moisture (from steam or leaks), dry thoroughly and correct the source of moisture.
  • Board replacement: If F28 persists, either the UI board or CCU may be defective. Replace the suspected board following ESD precautions.
