How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the combo and allow it to cool completely before working on the dryer section.
- Clean exhaust path: Disconnect and clean the external vent hose and wall vent. Remove lint from the blower housing and internal ducts.
- Check thermal fuse and thermostats: Access the rear panel and locate the thermal fuse and thermostats on the blower housing or heater duct. Test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace any open components.
- Test dryer heater: Measure resistance across the dryer heating element. Replace if open or shorted to ground.
