Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the drum or motor.
- Reduce load: Remove some items and try a smaller load to see if the error clears.
- Check drum rotation: Spin the drum by hand. If it is very stiff, grinds, or will not turn, inspect for foreign objects (like bra wires) caught between the inner and outer tubs and check bearings.
- Inspect motor and belt (if belt-driven): Remove rear panel and check the drive belt and motor. Ensure the belt is intact and properly seated. Look for burnt smell or discoloration on the motor.
