Washer-dryer will not spin or tumble; F06 appears on the display.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Moving parts and sharp edges are present around the motor and belt.

• Access the motor: Remove the rear panel. Locate the drive motor at the bottom rear of the tub with a belt (if belt-driven) or directly mounted (direct drive).
• Check harness and connector: Inspect the motor plug and wiring harness for loose connections, burnt pins, or damaged wires. Reseat the connector firmly.
• Inspect tachometer wiring: The tachometer (speed sensor) is usually integrated into the motor with separate small-gauge wires. Ensure these wires are intact and not pinched or broken.
• Spin test: Manually rotate the drum. It should turn smoothly without grinding or binding. Excessive resistance may indicate bearing or mechanical issues that can overload the motor.
• Electrical tests: With the motor disconnected, measure resistance across the motor windings and tachometer coil according to the service manual specs. If readings are open or shorted, replace the motor assembly.
• Control board check: If motor and wiring test good, the motor drive circuit on the main control board may be faulty and require replacement.
