Possible Causes
Stuck-open inlet valve, blocked pressure hose, faulty pressure switch, control board misreading water level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and shut off water supply. Be prepared for water spillage.
- Drain excess water: Use the drain pump clean-out or gravity drain via the drain hose into a bucket to remove water from the drum.
- Inspect inlet valves: With water supply off and hoses removed, check if water still seeps through the valve into the tub. If so, the valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Check pressure system: Verify the pressure hose from tub to switch is not blocked with detergent residue or lint. Clean or replace the hose. Ensure the pressure switch is mounted upright and secure.
- Replace faulty components: If the pressure switch fails continuity tests or the valve leaks, install new KitchenAid parts. Reconnect all hoses and wiring securely.
- Test operation: Restore power and water, then run a rinse and spin cycle to confirm no overflow and that F09 is cleared.
