How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the console.
- Remove console: Take off the top panel and remove screws securing the control console. Carefully tilt it forward.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Check the flat ribbon cable between the user interface and main control for kinks, tears, or corrosion. Reseat both ends.
- Check console board: Look for signs of moisture, cracked solder joints, or burnt components. If damaged, replace the console/UI assembly.
- Check main control: Inspect the CCU for burnt spots or corrosion at the UI connector. Replace the CCU if visibly damaged or if communication errors persist after UI replacement.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the console, restore power, and run diagnostics to confirm F28 is cleared.
