Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or hose, Faulty water level pressure sensor, Stuck water inlet valve, Main control board fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power immediately if the machine is overfilling to prevent flooding.

  • Stop water supply: Turn off the wall tap feeding the washer-dryer to stop further filling.
  • Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover to access the pressure sensor and its small rubber hose. Check for kinks, splits, or soap residue blockages. Detach the hose and flush it with warm water; clean the pressure chamber on the tub if accessible.
  • Test pressure sensor: With the sensor removed and disconnected, use a multimeter to check for switching of contacts while gently blowing into the pressure port. If there is no change, replace the pressure sensor.
  • Check inlet valve: If water continues to enter the drum even when the machine is off but the tap is open, the water inlet valve is stuck open. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.
  • Control board check: If all mechanical parts are good but E04 persists, the main electronic control module may be misreading the level signal and should be tested and replaced by a professional.
