• Check load and balance: Remove heavy items and redistribute laundry. Try a spin-only program to rule out simple imbalance issues.
• Inspect motor connections: Remove the rear panel to access the drive motor. Check the multi-pin connector and wiring harness for looseness, burning, or damage. Reseat connectors firmly.
• Check carbon brushes (if fitted): On Liebherr models with universal motors, remove the motor and inspect the carbon brushes. If they are shorter than manufacturer spec or unevenly worn, replace both brushes as a set.
• Test tachometer coil: Measure resistance of the tachometer coil on the motor. An open circuit indicates a failed tachometer; replace the motor or tachometer assembly depending on design.
• Control board diagnosis: If the motor and wiring are good but E06 persists, the motor drive circuit on the main control board may be defective. This requires professional diagnosis and likely PCB replacement.
