Possible Causes
Leak from door seal, Leak from hoses or pump, Cracked tub or sump hose, Activated base tray float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap immediately to prevent further leakage.
- Check for visible leaks: Inspect around the door seal, detergent drawer, and rear hoses for dripping or water trails. Tighten hose clamps and replace damaged hoses.
- Empty base tray: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward (with help) to allow water to drain from the base tray onto towels. This may temporarily reset the float switch, but you must still find and fix the source of the leak.
- Inspect internal components: Remove the rear or side panel to inspect the sump hose, circulation hoses, drain pump, and tub for cracks or loose clamps. Run a short fill cycle while observing (with panels safely in place where possible) to locate the leak.
- Replace faulty parts: Replace any leaking door gasket, sump hose, or pump housing with genuine Liebherr parts. Ensure all clamps are properly tightened.
