Possible Causes
Door lock mechanism jammed, Faulty door interlock solenoid, Control board not releasing lock, Wiring fault to door lock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before attempting to manually open the door. Be aware of hot water or high drum speed if the cycle has not fully completed.
- Wait and check: Allow several minutes after the end of the cycle for the safety lock to release. Ensure the drum has fully stopped and water is drained.
- Manual release: Access the emergency door release (often a pull cord or lever near the pump filter area) as described in the Liebherr user manual. Gently pull to open the door.
- Inspect door lock: Once open and unplugged, remove the door lock assembly and check for mechanical damage or burning. Test the lock coil with a multimeter; replace the door lock if defective.
- Check wiring and PCB: Inspect the harness from the lock to the main control board. If wiring is intact and the new lock does not resolve E11, the control board may not be sending the unlock signal and should be professionally checked.
