Possible Causes
Blocked lint filter or ducts, Failed dryer fan motor, Tripped high-limit thermostat, Faulty dryer NTC sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool fully. Do not cover ventilation openings.
- Clean all filters: Remove and clean the lint filter and any secondary filters. Ensure they are free of fluff and properly seated.
- Check air ducts and fan: Access the dryer air path and fan assembly. Remove lint build-up from ducts, fan blades, and housing. Verify that the fan spins freely; replace the fan motor if seized or noisy.
- Reset/replace thermostat: Locate the high-limit thermostat on the heater housing. Some are manual-reset types (small button); press to reset if tripped. If it trips repeatedly or is open-circuit, replace it.
- Test dryer NTC: Measure the dryer temperature sensor resistance and compare with Liebherr specifications. Replace if out of range.
