How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the rear panel.
- Inspect drive belt: Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is still on the motor and drum pulleys. If broken or off, replace with the correct Liebherr belt and ensure proper tension.
- Check drum and motor movement: Turn the drum pulley by hand. If it turns freely, check the motor shaft. If the motor is stiff or seized, replace the motor.
- Check motor brushes: On brushed motors, remove and inspect carbon brushes. Replace if worn short.
- Test motor electrically: Use a multimeter to check motor windings for continuity. Replace the motor if open or shorted.
