Possible Causes
Defective door interlock switch, Broken or loose door lock wiring harness, Faulty main control PCB door lock relay, Misaligned door latch hook
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Logik washer-dryer combo from the mains and turn off the water supply before any work. Do not bypass the door lock for testing while connected to power.
- Step 1 – Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and try to start a short wash cycle. Sometimes the control PCB will clear a temporary door lock error.
- Step 2 – Check door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Ensure no clothing is trapped between the door seal and the door glass. Verify the door latch hook engages fully with the cabinet catch.
- Step 3 – Inspect door latch hook: With power still disconnected, check the metal or plastic latch hook on the door for cracks, looseness, or misalignment. Tighten mounting screws if loose; replace the door handle/latch assembly if broken.
- Step 4 – Access door interlock: Remove the front retaining band from the door gasket, peel the gasket back, and locate the door interlock on the cabinet front. Check the wiring connector for burning, corrosion, or loose pins. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Step 5 – Test door lock: Using a multimeter (appliance unplugged), test continuity across the door lock terminals according to a Logik service diagram. If the lock coil is open or readings are out of spec, replace the door interlock assembly.
- Step 6 – Control PCB check (advanced): If a known-good door lock and wiring are present but E01 persists, the door lock relay or track on the main control PCB may be faulty. Inspect for burnt components. Replacement of the main control board is usually required and is best done by a qualified technician.
