Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Moving parts and sharp edges are present; use gloves and caution.

• Step 1 – Check drum movement by hand: Rotate the drum manually. It should turn smoothly without grinding. If seized, see bearing or foreign object faults instead.
• Step 2 – Access motor: Remove the rear panel and drive belt. Inspect the motor and wiring harness for burning, loose plugs, or damage.
• Step 3 – Inspect carbon brushes (if universal motor): Remove the brush holders from the motor. If the carbon length is less than ~1 cm or unevenly worn, replace both brushes with compatible Logik motor brushes.
• Step 4 – Test motor windings: Use a multimeter to check continuity across the motor terminals according to the wiring diagram. Open windings indicate a failed motor.
• Step 5 – Check tachometer: Inspect the tachometer coil on the motor shaft. Ensure it is firmly attached and the connector is secure. A broken tachometer will prevent the PCB from controlling speed and can trigger E07.
• Step 6 – PCB motor drive: If the motor and wiring are sound but the drum never attempts to turn, the motor drive circuit on the main PCB (triac or inverter) may be defective. PCB replacement is typically required.
