Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool fully before accessing the dryer section.

• Step 1 – Clean lint and condenser: Remove the lower front access panel (if condenser is user-accessible) and clean the condenser unit thoroughly under running water. Clear lint from all visible air passages and filters.
• Step 2 – Check airflow: Ensure the rear and sides of the machine are not blocked. Restricted airflow can cause overheating and trip safety thermostats.
• Step 3 – Access dryer heater: Depending on model, remove the top and rear panels to reach the dryer heater housing. Inspect wiring and connectors for burning.
• Step 4 – Test heater and thermostats: With a multimeter, check continuity of the dryer heating element and any inline thermostats or thermal cut-outs on the heater housing. Replace any open-circuit components.
• Step 5 – Check dryer fan: Spin the dryer fan by hand to ensure it is free. Test the fan motor for continuity and operation. A failed fan can cause overheating and E10.
• Step 6 – Resettable thermostat: Some models have a manual-reset thermostat button on the heater housing. If present, press it to reset after cooling, then test the dryer. If it trips again, investigate airflow and heater control.
