Possible Causes
Leaking door seal, Loose or split drain hose, Leaking tub-to-pump hose, Faulty inlet valve or dispenser hose leaking into base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply. Water in the base can contact live parts; do not tip the machine while plugged in.
- Step 1 – Inspect for visible leaks: Check around the door seal, dispenser drawer, and rear hoses for drips or water trails.
- Step 2 – Remove base water: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward (with help) and use towels or a sponge to remove water from the base tray via the front or rear access. Some models have a float switch that must drop back down to clear E13.
- Step 3 – Check hoses and clamps: Remove the rear panel and inspect the tub-to-pump hose, drain hose, and inlet hoses for splits or loose clamps. Tighten or replace as needed.
- Step 4 – Door seal and dispenser: Examine the door gasket for tears or holes, especially at the bottom. Check the dispenser drawer and its hose for cracks or blockages causing overflow. Replace damaged components.
- Step 5 – Test: After drying the base and fixing leaks, run a short cycle while observing for new leaks. If water reappears in the base, recheck all joints and consider a technician for hard-to-see tub or bearing seal leaks.
