Washer-dryer combo will not fill with water; cycle starts then quickly pauses and displays E1.

Safety first: Unplug the washer-dryer combo and turn off both hot and cold water supply valves before working on water connections.

• 1. Check household water supply: Verify both hot and cold faucets feeding the Magic Chef combo are fully open. Confirm water pressure by briefly opening the hoses into a bucket.
• 2. Inspect inlet hoses and screens: Disconnect the hoses from the rear water inlet valve. Look inside the valve ports for sediment-clogged screens. Clean gently with a small brush and vinegar; do not puncture the screens.
• 3. Check for kinked or crushed hoses: Straighten any kinks and ensure hoses are not pinched behind the cabinet.
• 4. Test the water inlet valve: With power still disconnected, remove the top panel to access the water inlet valve assembly. Inspect wiring harness connections. Using a multimeter, test each valve coil for continuity; an open coil indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
• 5. Inspect water level (pressure) sensor and hose: Locate the pressure sensor (usually mounted near the control board) and its thin rubber hose going to the tub. Ensure the hose is not cracked, kinked, or blocked with soap residue. Clean or replace as needed.
• 6. If E1 persists: Replace the water inlet valve assembly specific to your Magic Chef model. If still unresolved, the pressure sensor or main control board may require professional diagnosis.
