Possible Causes
Loose sensor harness connections, Faulty internal sensor (e.g., NTC, pressure sensor), Control board communication fault, Corroded connectors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before handling wiring or boards.
- 1. Perform a power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and attempt a short cycle.
- 2. Inspect internal harnesses: Remove the top and rear panels. Follow the wiring from sensors (NTC, pressure sensor, door lock, etc.) to the main board. Reseat each connector.
- 3. Look for corrosion or moisture: Pay attention to connectors near the tub or vent where condensation can form. Clean and dry as needed.
- 4. Check for pinched or broken wires: Repair or replace damaged sections of the harness.
- 5. If E18 persists after reseating and inspection: One of the sensors or the control board may be defective. Replace the most suspect sensor first, then the board if necessary.
