How to Fix / Troubleshooting

1. Inspect drum and vent: Check for items trapped between drum and door, and ensure the exhaust duct is clear.
2. Access heater and motor: Remove the rear panel. Look for scorched wiring, melted insulation, or lint packed around the heater or motor.
3. Clean lint thoroughly: Vacuum lint from the heater housing, blower, and internal ducts.
4. Check belt and pulleys: A belt that is slipping on a jammed drum can produce a burning rubber smell. Replace worn belts and free any obstructions.
5. Inspect wiring and board: Look for burned connectors or components on the main control board. Replace damaged parts.
6. If smoke originated from electronics: Do not attempt to reuse the board; replace it and have the unit inspected by a professional.
