Possible Causes
Failed drive motor, Broken or slipped drive belt (if equipped), Faulty motor capacitor, Defective main control board motor output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and drain water before tipping or removing panels.
- 1. Listen for motor hum: During the wash phase, listen for a humming sound. A hum without drum movement can indicate a seized motor or bad capacitor.
- 2. Check drum by hand: Rotate the drum manually. If it spins freely, the issue is likely in the drive system or electronics.
- 3. Inspect belt (if belt-driven): Remove the rear panel and check if the belt is intact and properly tensioned. Replace if broken or heavily worn.
- 4. Test motor and capacitor: Disconnect the motor and measure winding resistance. Also test the start/run capacitor (if present) with a capacitance meter; replace if out of spec.
- 5. If motor and belt are good: The main control board may not be sending power to the motor and may require replacement.
