Washer-dryer combo has a persistent moldy or musty odor inside the drum.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning internal filters or hoses.

• 1. Run a tub clean cycle: If your Magic Chef model has a tub clean program, run it with hot water and a washer cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar (no clothes).
• 2. Clean door gasket: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution. Remove lint and residue.
• 3. Clean drain pump filter: Open the pump filter access, remove the filter, and clean out debris that can trap smelly water.
• 4. Improve drying: After each use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow air circulation.
• 5. Use proper detergent: Use HE detergent in the recommended amount to reduce residue buildup.
