Washer-dryer combo powers on but will not start any cycle; pressing Start does nothing.

• 1. Check display for child lock: Many Magic Chef models show a lock icon when child lock is active. Disable it per the user manual (often by holding specific buttons for several seconds).
• 2. Verify door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Listen for the click of the latch engaging. Inspect the door strike for damage.
• 3. Test door lock: If the door icon does not show as locked when starting a cycle, the door lock assembly may be faulty. Replace if it does not engage.
