Possible Causes

Closed water supply valves, clogged inlet screens, faulty water inlet valve, pressure switch not detecting fill

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply before disconnecting hoses.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Verify water supply: Ensure both hot and cold faucets are fully open. Check household water pressure by running a nearby sink.
  • 2. Inspect inlet hoses: Turn off water, remove hoses from the back of the washer-dryer, and check the small metal screens inside the valve inlets. Clean any sediment with a soft brush; do not damage the screens.
  • 3. Check for kinked hoses: Make sure hoses are not sharply bent or crushed behind the unit.
  • 4. Test inlet valves: With the unit unplugged, inspect the valve assembly for cracks or leaks. If you have a meter and skills, measure coil resistance (typically 500–1500 Ω). Open coils indicate a bad valve.
  • 5. Pressure switch check: If the tub fills but F20 still appears, the pressure switch may not be sensing water level. Inspect the pressure hose and switch as described under F10.
  • 6. Replace faulty valve: If water does not enter the tub when the unit is powered and calling for water (and supply is good), replace the water inlet valve assembly.
