Door cannot be opened at end of cycle, or door lock error appears mid-cycle

Safety first: Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Ensure the drum has stopped spinning before attempting to open the door.

• Wait for safety delay: Miele machines have a delay before unlocking. Wait several minutes after the program ends.
• Use emergency release: Open the lower service flap and pull the emergency door release (if equipped) to mechanically unlock the door.
• Inspect latch and handle: Check for broken plastic parts on the door hook and handle. Replace damaged components.
• Check lock assembly: Access the door lock as described for F32. Look for signs of overheating or mechanical damage. Replace the lock if it is stiff or burnt.
• Control fault: If the lock is mechanically sound but not being released electrically, the control board may be faulty and requires professional service.
