Safety first: Use appropriate cleaning agents and avoid mixing chemicals. Ensure good ventilation.
- Run maintenance wash: Run a hot (90–95°C) empty cycle with a Miele-approved machine cleaner or a descaling/cleaning product.
- Clean door gasket: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth and mild detergent, removing slime and residue.
- Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and wash thoroughly. Clean the housing and nozzles.
- Leave door open: After use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying and prevent mold growth.
- Repeat regularly: Perform a maintenance wash monthly if you frequently use low-temperature programs.
