Washer-dryer leaks water from front during wash or dry cycles

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply. Water on the floor can be slippery; mop up spills promptly.

• Inspect door seal: Open the door and carefully examine the entire circumference of the grey rubber gasket. Look for tears, holes, or deformation.
• Remove debris: Check the folds of the seal for coins, bra wires, or other sharp objects. Remove any foreign items.
• Check clamp: Ensure the outer metal or wire retaining band is seated correctly and tight around the front of the seal.
• Reduce detergent: If you see excessive foam, reduce detergent dosage and use HE detergent suitable for Miele machines.
• Replace gasket: If the seal is damaged, remove the outer and inner retaining bands, pull off the old gasket, and fit a new genuine Miele door seal, ensuring correct alignment with tub drain holes.
