How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap. Tilt the machine only with assistance to avoid injury.
- Visual inspection: Remove the rear or side panel and run a short fill/drain cycle while observing (only if you can do so safely with covers removed).
- Check sump hose: Inspect the large black hose from the bottom of the tub to the pump for cracks or loose clamps. Tighten or replace as needed.
- Inspect pump: Look for water seeping from the pump body or shaft. Replace the pump if leaking.
- Examine other hoses: Check all visible hoses for signs of wear, rubbing, or pinholes. Replace any suspect hoses with Miele-approved parts.
- Dry base: After repairs, dry the base tray completely and test again for leaks.
