Washer-dryer combo stops filling or never begins wash; display shows E02 and you may hear a faint click but no water enters.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close both hot and cold water supply valves before disconnecting hoses.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Verify water supply: Ensure both hot and cold shutoff valves at the wall are fully open. Check that household water pressure is adequate.
- 2. Inspect inlet hoses: Turn off water, disconnect the hoses from the rear of the Monogram combo, and inspect for kinks or internal collapse. Run water from the hoses into a bucket to confirm strong flow.
- 3. Clean inlet screens: At the water inlet valve ports on the back of the unit, remove and clean the small metal or plastic screens. Use a soft brush; do not puncture the screens.
- 4. Test the inlet valve coils: Remove the top panel to access the water inlet valve assembly. With a multimeter, check each solenoid coil for continuity. A reading of open (infinite resistance) indicates a failed coil.
- 5. Inspect pressure hose and sensor: Locate the water level/pressure sensor (usually mounted near the top of the cabinet) and its small rubber hose running to the tub or air dome. Ensure the hose is not kinked, cracked, or blocked with residue. Clear any blockage and reseat the hose securely.
- 6. Replace faulty components: If a coil is open or the valve is stuck, replace the complete OEM Monogram water inlet valve assembly. If the pressure sensor is not reading correctly (per service manual diagnostics), replace the sensor.
- 7. Reassemble and test: Reconnect hoses, open water supply valves, restore power, and run a rinse/fill test cycle to confirm E02 is cleared and water fills properly.
When to call a technician: If water supply and valve are good but E02 persists, the main control board or wiring may be at fault and should be professionally diagnosed.
