Possible Causes
Clogged dispenser siphon caps, Low water pressure to dispenser, Detergent buildup in dispenser channels, Faulty dispenser valve or diverter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the top panel or accessing valves. Cleaning the drawer can be done with power off.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Remove and clean the drawer: Take out the dispenser drawer and disassemble any removable siphon caps or inserts. Clean thoroughly under hot water.
- 2. Clean dispenser housing: Use a small brush to clean the water inlet holes and channels inside the housing.
- 3. Check water flow to dispenser: With the drawer removed and power restored, start a cycle and observe water flow into the dispenser area (be prepared for splashing). Weak flow may indicate a partially clogged inlet valve.
- 4. Inspect dispenser valve/diverter: Access the dispenser valve or diverter motor and ensure it moves freely and is not obstructed. Replace the OEM Monogram dispenser valve if defective.
When to call a technician: If cleaning and basic checks do not restore proper dispensing, further diagnosis of the valve and control system may be needed.
