• 2. Clean inlet filters: Turn off the tap, unscrew the inlet hose from the back of the machine, and gently pull out the small mesh filters from the valve inlets. Rinse under running water and remove any limescale or debris. Refit carefully.
• 3. Check inlet hose: Inspect the hose for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage. Replace if damaged or if an anti-flood (AquaStop) hose has tripped.
• 4. Test the inlet valve: Remove the top cover. Locate the water inlet valve assembly where the hose connects. With the machine unplugged, check the coil resistance with a multimeter (compare to Montpellier specifications; typically 2–4 kΩ). If open circuit or shorted, replace the valve.
• 5. Inspect wiring: Check the connector from the valve to the main PCB for loose pins, corrosion, or damaged wires. Reseat the connector firmly.
• 6. Control board check: If water supply, filters, valve, and wiring are all OK but E02 persists, the PCB triac or relay driving the valve may be faulty. This usually requires a qualified technician to test and replace the PCB.
