Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or pressure hose, Faulty pressure switch (water level sensor), Stuck water inlet valve, Control board sensing error

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply. If the drum is overfilled, manually bail out water before tipping or moving the machine.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Check for continuous filling: With the machine unplugged and water tap open, see if water continues to enter. If so, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
  • 2. Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom side of the tub to the pressure switch (usually mounted high on the side). Remove the hose and blow through it to ensure it is clear. Clean any soap residue or sludge from the tub connection.
  • 3. Clean pressure chamber: At the tub end, check the pressure chamber port for blockages from detergent buildup or lint. Carefully clean with a small brush and hot water.
  • 4. Test the pressure switch: With the hose removed and the machine unplugged, gently blow into the switch and listen for clicks. Use a multimeter to check that the switch contacts change state when pressure is applied. If not, replace the pressure switch (water level sensor).
  • 5. Wiring and PCB: Inspect the wiring from the pressure switch to the main PCB for damage or loose connectors. If all components are good but E04 persists, the PCB input circuit may be defective and require professional service.
