Possible Causes

Failed wash heating element, Faulty NTC temperature sensor on heater, Loose or burnt heater wiring, Defective main control PCB heater relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before accessing internal components.

  • Access heater terminals: Remove the rear panel of the New World washer-dryer to access the heater assembly mounted in the bottom of the outer tub. Identify the heater terminals and NTC sensor.
  • Test heating element: Disconnect the heater wires and measure resistance across the element with a multimeter. Typical values are 20–40 Ω; an open circuit indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
  • Check NTC sensor: Measure resistance of the NTC sensor at room temperature (often 20–30 kΩ). If reading is open, shorted, or does not change when warmed slightly, replace the sensor.
  • Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for heat damage, discoloration, or loose spade connectors at the heater and on the main control PCB. Clean and tighten as needed.
  • Run a hot wash test: After replacing faulty parts, reassemble and run a 60°C wash. Check if the door glass becomes warm after 20–30 minutes and if E05 clears. If not, the PCB heater relay or control board may be defective and require professional replacement.
