Possible Causes
Failed dryer NTC sensor, Loose or corroded NTC connector, Broken wiring between NTC and PCB, Control PCB sensor input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before accessing the dryer section.
- Locate dryer NTC: On New World washer-dryer combos, the dryer NTC is typically mounted on the dryer duct or heater housing. Remove the top or rear panel to access it.
- Check connections: Ensure the NTC plug is firmly seated and free of corrosion. Clean contacts if necessary.
- Measure NTC resistance: At room temperature, measure resistance across the NTC. Compare with service data if available; typical values are in the tens of kilo-ohms. If reading is open, shorted, or does not change when warmed slightly, replace the NTC sensor.
- Inspect wiring harness: Follow the NTC wires back to the PCB, checking for pinched or broken conductors. Repair or replace as needed.
- Test drying: Reassemble and run a short drying cycle. If E11 recurs, the PCB's sensor input circuit may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
