Possible Causes

Blocked condenser or lint filter path, Failed dryer fan motor, Loose fan impeller on shaft, Obstructed air duct inside cabinet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect from mains and allow the unit to cool before working on the dryer system.

  • Clean condenser and ducts: Access the condenser unit (often behind a lower front panel or rear cover). Remove and rinse the condenser under running water if removable. Vacuum lint from ducts and around the fan housing.
  • Inspect fan motor: Locate the dryer fan motor and impeller. Check that the impeller is firmly attached and spins freely without scraping. If seized or noisy, replace the fan motor assembly.
  • Check for obstructions: Look for socks or fabric lodged in the air path between the drum and condenser. Remove any foreign objects.
  • Test fan operation: With the machine reassembled, run a drying cycle and listen for the fan. If it does not run and E12 appears, test the fan motor for continuity and supply voltage. Replace the motor or have the PCB checked if no voltage is supplied.
