Possible Causes
Overdosing detergent, Using non-HE (high-efficiency) detergent, Blocked pressure chamber misreading water level, Faulty foam detection via motor feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance if foam is leaking from the drawer or door.
- Reduce detergent: Use only high-efficiency detergent suitable for washer-dryers and follow the dosing instructions for your water hardness and load size.
- Run rinse-only cycles: Select a rinse and spin program without adding detergent to flush out excess suds.
- Clean pressure system: If E16 recurs frequently, clean the pressure hose and chamber as described under E04 to ensure accurate water level and foam detection.
- Check load size: Avoid overloading the drum, especially when using combined wash-dry cycles, as this can increase foaming and reduce rinsing efficiency.
