Possible Causes
Blown mains fuse in plug, Faulty mains interference filter, Broken power cord, Failed main control PCB power supply section
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the wall socket is switched off before removing the plug. Do not bypass safety devices.
- Check supply: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Reset any tripped circuit breakers.
- Inspect plug fuse (UK models): Remove and test/replace the 13A fuse in the plug with the correct rating.
- Check power cord and filter: Unplug the New World washer-dryer, remove the rear panel, and inspect the power cord and mains filter module for damage or burning. Replace if faulty.
- Test PCB supply: If comfortable and qualified, measure AC voltage at the PCB input and DC low-voltage outputs. If mains is present but no low-voltage output, the PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
