Possible Causes
Stuck water inlet valve, Blocked pressure hose, Faulty water level sensor, Control board not shutting off valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off water supply and unplug the unit immediately if overfilling occurs.
- Shut off water: Close both hot and cold supply valves to stop filling.
- Inspect inlet valve: If water continues to flow into the drum with power off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Check pressure hose and sensor: Remove the top panel and inspect the pressure hose and sensor as described for E7. Clear any blockages and ensure tight connections.
- Test fill: Restore water and power, then run a small cycle while monitoring the fill level. If overfilling recurs, replace the water level sensor and/or inlet valve assembly.
- Control board check: If valves and sensor are new and correctly installed, the main control board may be failing to shut off the valve and should be evaluated by a technician.
