Possible Causes

Clogged internal lint filter, Blocked condenser (for ventless models), Obstructed internal air ducts, Failing circulation fan motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before cleaning internal ducts or fans.

  • Clean lint filter: Remove and thoroughly clean the lint filter before every drying cycle. Wash with warm water and dry completely if coated with fabric softener residue.
  • Clean condenser (if applicable): For NewAir ventless combos with a condenser unit, open the condenser access panel and rinse the condenser fins under running water to remove lint and debris. Allow to dry before reinstalling.
  • Inspect air ducts: Remove rear or lower panels to access internal ducts. Vacuum out lint buildup carefully.
  • Check fan operation: During a test dry cycle (with panels reinstalled), listen for the circulation fan. If it does not run or is very noisy, the fan motor may be failing and should be replaced.
  • Replace fan motor if needed: With power disconnected, remove the fan housing, disconnect wiring, and install a compatible NewAir dryer fan motor.
