Safety first: Do not force the door closed; this can damage the latch.

• Check door and lock: Open and firmly close the door until you hear the latch click. Look for obstructions around the gasket.
• Disable child lock: If a key or lock icon is lit, hold the designated buttons (refer to user manual, often two buttons held for 3–5 seconds) to disable child lock.
• Try different programs: Select a basic wash cycle and press Start. If some buttons work and others do not, the control panel may be failing.
