Detergent residue in drum and gasket, Standing water in sump, Infrequent hot washes, Clogged drain filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only cleaning agents approved for washing machines. Do not mix bleach with other chemicals.
- Run a tub clean cycle: Use the machine's cleaning program (if available) with a washing machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (never mix with bleach).
- Clean door gasket: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild detergent or diluted bleach. Remove lint and slime.
- Clean drain filter: Remove and clean the drain pump filter to eliminate trapped debris and stagnant water.
- Leave door open: After each use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying and prevent mold growth.
