Washer-dryer combo produces a musty or moldy odor, especially when the door is opened.

Safety first: Use only cleaning agents approved for washing machines. Do not mix bleach with other chemicals.

• Run a tub clean cycle: Use the machine's cleaning program (if available) with a washing machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (never mix with bleach).
• Clean door gasket: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild detergent or diluted bleach. Remove lint and slime.
