How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water supply tap before disconnecting hoses.
Step-by-step checks:
- Verify water supply: Ensure the wall tap feeding the Proline washer-dryer is fully open. Check that other taps in the house have normal pressure.
- Clean inlet filters: Turn off the tap, disconnect the inlet hose from the back of the machine, and remove the small mesh filters inside the valve ports. Rinse under running water to remove limescale and debris, then reinstall.
- Check hose kinks: Make sure the inlet hose is not kinked, crushed, or frozen (in cold environments).
- Test the inlet valve: With power off, access the top of the machine, locate the water inlet valve, and inspect the wiring connector. Reseat it firmly. If you have a multimeter, test the valve coils for continuity; an open coil indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Control board / wiring: If the valve tests good and water supply is adequate, inspect wiring from the valve to the main PCB for damage. If wiring is intact, the control board may not be energizing the valve and may require replacement.
When to call a technician: If you suspect a PCB fault or are not comfortable working around water and mains voltage, seek professional service.
