Possible Causes
Dirty or oxidized moisture sensor bars, Faulty dryer NTC sensor, Loose wiring to sensor circuit, Control board sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before accessing internal components.
Step-by-step checks:
- Clean moisture sensors: Inside the drum, locate the metal strips (usually near the door opening) that act as moisture sensors. Clean them thoroughly with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth to remove detergent film.
- Check wiring: From the back or front panel, trace the wires from the moisture sensors to the control board. Ensure connectors are tight and not corroded.
- Test dryer NTC: Measure the resistance of the dryer temperature sensor and compare with specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Control board: If sensors and wiring are good, the PCB may not be processing the signals correctly and may need replacement.
When to call a technician: If cleaning and basic checks do not resolve E11, professional diagnostics are recommended.
