Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Ensure the drum is not full of hot water before attempting manual release.

  • Wait and cool: Some models keep the door locked for several minutes after heating. Wait 5–10 minutes and try again.
  • Manual release: Many Proline combos have a manual door release tab accessible through the pump filter flap or behind the lower front panel. Pull the tab gently to open the door.
  • Inspect lock and handle: Once open, check the door latch hook and handle for cracks or deformation. Replace if damaged.
  • Test door lock: Access the door lock assembly as in E01. Test for continuity and mechanical operation. Replace if faulty.
