Possible Causes
Blocked or kinked pressure sensor hose, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor, Stuck-open water inlet valve, Control PCB water level circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water supply immediately if overfilling occurs to prevent flooding.
- Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom side of the tub to the pressure sensor (usually a round device with wires). Check for kinks, splits, or disconnections. Refit securely and replace if damaged.
- Clear blockages: Detach the hose from the sensor and gently blow through it toward the tub. It should be clear; resistance may indicate soap scum blockage at the tub connection. Clean the connection point.
- Check inlet valve operation: With the machine plugged in and water on, start a fill and then pause or power off. If water continues to flow into the drum with power off, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Test pressure sensor (advanced): With power off, remove the sensor connector and check for signs of corrosion. If you have a multimeter and service data, test the sensor output or resistance. Replace the sensor if readings are out of specification.
- Control board: If the hose and sensor are good and the inlet valve is not stuck, the main control PCB may be misreading the level signal. This requires professional diagnosis and likely PCB replacement.
