Possible Causes
Severely unbalanced laundry load, Worn suspension shock absorbers, Faulty drum balance sensor (if fitted), Excessive vibration detected by control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands clear of the drum while it is spinning. Unplug the appliance before internal inspection.
- Redistribute load: Open the door once the lock releases. Check if a heavy item (e.g. a single duvet) is bunched on one side. Redistribute clothes evenly and remove some items if the drum is overfilled. Restart the spin.
- Check appliance level: Ensure the washer-dryer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the front feet and lock nuts so the cabinet does not rock.
- Inspect shock absorbers: Remove the rear or front lower panel to view the suspension legs/shock absorbers. If they are leaking oil, bent, or offer little resistance when moved by hand, they should be replaced in pairs.
- Check drum springs and weights: Inspect the top suspension springs and concrete or cast-iron counterweights for cracks or looseness. Tighten mounting bolts and replace damaged parts.
- Test again: After mechanical checks, run a spin-only cycle with a small, balanced load to see if E11 reoccurs.
